Privacy Policy

RedScissors.ai (“RedScissors”, “we”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account data — email and authentication identifiers when you sign in (via our identity provider).
• Project data — prompts, specifications, and artifacts you create in the product.
• Usage data — logs, diagnostics, and analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve RedScissors
• Authenticate you and enforce security
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations
• Send product updates you have opted into

Third-party services

We use subprocessors for authentication, hosting, and AI inference. Data is shared only as needed to deliver the service and under agreements that require appropriate safeguards.

Auro, the help assistant

Auro is the AI help assistant inside RedScissors.ai. It answers questions about how the product works, using our help articles.

• What Auro sees — your question, after masking (below), and, when chat history is on, recent messages from the same chat. It does not see your projects, your account details or anything else in your workspace.
• Masking — before your question is sent to the AI model, saved or logged, we automatically mask common formats of email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, Aadhaar and PAN numbers, UPI IDs, API keys and passwords written after a label such as “password:”. Masking is pattern-based and may not catch everything.
• Chat history — a feature we may switch on or off. While it is off, each question is answered on its own and no chat is saved. When it is on, your masked questions and Auro’s answers are saved under your account. A chat you have not added to for 90 days disappears from your history and is removed by a later clean-up. You can delete a chat, or all of your chats, at any time; deleting removes the chat and its messages from your chat history right away. What stays is described under Logs and counts.
• Logs and counts — each question also creates an operational log entry. It holds the masked question (not the answer), which area of the product you asked from, which help articles were used, and a coded reference instead of your user ID; when chat history is on it also holds the chat’s identifier. Log entries are kept separately from chat history for a limited period and are not removed when you delete a chat. We also keep counts of how many questions you ask and how many our safety checks flagged, to apply usage limits and temporary blocks, and a record of each AI call’s size and cost. Neither the counts nor that record contains message text.
• AI provider — answers are generated by an AI service provider, one of the AI inference subprocessors described above.

Please do not share passwords or secret keys with Auro.

Retention

We retain data while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and operational purposes. You may request deletion by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
